Twenty-seven shows. That's all I managed in 2024, which is (excluding the pandemic) a 19-year low. A testament to how working at a start-up can displace concert going. Here's hoping for more live music in 2025 (two festivals, Coachella and Big Ears, are already on the books!).
I managed 9 shows this quarter (as usual, counting each festival day as one show). I enjoyed my first time attending SF Music Day, a free day-long festival of interesting artists spanning classical, avant-garde, jazz, and even a performance of DIY hand-crank music boxes. Also, I discovered Lime Garden, thanks to the last-minute extra ticket invite from a friend. And I also rediscovered just how much I love Handel's Messiah, thanks to the SF Symphony and Chorus (they do this every year, but I've not attended in a long time).
